SCOTLAND'S ENTERPRISING SCHOOL'S

SES vision is to empower young people through an educational system that has a CAN DO spirit with entrepreneurship and innovation at its core, allowing them to fulfil their potential and develop skills for learning, skills for life and skills for work.

Scotland’s Enterprising Schools is an online resource available to teachers on the GLOW platform.  Our vision is to empower young people through an educational system that has a CAN DO spirit with entrepreneurship and innovation at its core, allowing them to fulfil their potential and develop skills for learning, skills for life and skills for work.  Teachers are able to access a wealth of resources to help them introduce innovative enterprise activities.

There is also the opportunity to join the professional network where they can take part in discussions about enterprise education and collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and resources.  Our professional reflection tool helps schools to gauge where they are on their enterprise journey and supports the self-evaluation process.

The resources and ideas highlighted on the site are very useful when schools are curriculum planning and will help them embed Building the Curriculum 4 and Developing the Young Workforce agendas as part of their development plan.

“Scotland’s schools, colleges and universities have a crucial role in driving ambition and making our young people aware of their entrepreneurial potential so we can help ensure that our nation meets its full economic potential. We fully support initiatives that bring entrepreneurship to the forefront of people’s minds, and Scotland’s Enterprising Schools is a great example of this in addition to showing the CAN DO approach. ”

- Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning Angela Constance
