Youth unemployment is a devastating issue for the young people and communities affected. However, putting an end to youth unemployment is possible. The Prince’s Trust in Scotland helps thousands of young people every year to achieve the success and the future they deserve. By supporting them get back into education, find jobs and start their own businesses, we will continue to work with young people until we are no longer needed, helping them realise what they are capable and supporting them to achieve it. We work hard to ensure they don’t just have a job, but a future they can look forward to.
Young people are inspiring and innovative. We encourage and support enterprising young people to start their own businesses. We help young people interested in self employment to explore and test their ideas, write plans and start their own businesses.
As direct employment opportunities are more limited we support young people who want to achieve their full potential through running their own successful business. We provide start up services such as mentoring for which our volunteers are essential. We provide start up finance to support young entrepreneurs with their first steps into business. We provide funding and support to young businesses which demonstrate the potential for further business growth and build their capacity to be employers of the future.
